Education
Graduated in “Foreign Languages & Literatures” (English) at IULM (Milan). Thesis: “Translation & Introduction of ‘Under the banyan tree’ by R. K. Narayan”.
Diploma on Electrotechnics (I.T.I.S. E. Fermi, Desio-Milan).
Experience
I started my technical translation experience in 1988 at 3M Italia S.p.a. within my responsibility as Marketing Electrical & Telecom Division. I was responsible for the translation from English into Italian of all marketing and technical literature (Product Bulletins, data sheets, manuals, marketing guidelines etc). In 1990 I started my experience as a Freelance Translator. I have made experience in various technical fields, such as Automation, Electronics, Electrotechnics, Consumer Electronics, Mechanics etc.

I'm specialised in the Computer Science/Software area. I have translated several Programming/Software books and manuals on behalf of the agency INFOSTUDIO (Monza) http://www.infostudioweb.com/. I have cooperated with several PC & Computer magazines and publishers., such as PC Professionale (Mondadori), Il Mio Computer (Ed. Il Castello), PC Week (Mondadori), Gruppo editoriale JCE. I'm the author of the books “Excel ’97 visto da vicino” (1997) and “Excel 2000 visto da vicino” (2000) edited by da McGraw-Hill. Also for McGraw-Hill I have translated the book “Digital Video” by Frederic H. Jones From 1999 – 2001 I have worked on behalf of Mendez Paris (later Bowneglobal Paris) on many translations both from English and French into Italian on various subjects (mainly Telecommunications - Alcatel manuals, and Computer - Microsoft). In the period October 2001 – September 2002 I worked at Peoplesoft (www.peoplesoft.com/) for the translation of the company ERP Software (Financial-Procurement area) using Peoplesoft proprietary translation tools, plus TRADOS. On March 2003 I have translated the book “ADO.NET Professional” edited by Hoepli on behalf of Bowneglobal Solutions – Milan.
